ROBERT ROSENKRANZ, FOUNDER OF IQ2US
Robert Rosenkranz is a philanthropist and CEO of Delphi Financial Group, a New York Stock Exchange-listed insurance holding company with assets of over $8 billion, and the founder of a group of investment and private equity partnerships.
In 1985, Mr. Rosenkranz founded the Rosenkranz Foundation with the mission of encouraging fresh perspectives and innovation in public policy, higher education and the arts. One initiative of the foundation is the Intelligence Squared U.S. Foundation, founded in 2006.
A graduate of Yale (summa cum laude) and Harvard Law School, he spent his early career as an economist with The RAND Corporation, where he was engaged in research on foreign policy issues and municipal finance.
He is a member of the Yale University Council and the Dean’s Council of the Yale School of Architecture. He serves on the boards of the Manhattan Institute, The Film Society of Lincoln Center, and the London think tank Policy Exchange. Mr. Rosenkranz is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
Mr. Rosenkranz lives in Manhattan in an apartment that reflects his interests in Asian art and modern design. He has two children, Nicholas and Stephanie, and is married to Alexandra Munroe, Ph.D., Senior Curator of Asian Art at the Guggenheim Museum.
John Donvan
Dubbed the "real star" of Intelligence Squared U.S. Debates, moderator John Donvan is an author and correspondent for ABC News. He has hosted Nightline, World News, Good Morning America, and NPR's Talk of the Nation, in addition to producing My Generation for PBS. He has also served as ABC's Chief White House correspondent and held postings in London, Jerusalem, Moscow and Amman. Recognized by the National Magazine Awards for his 2011 Atlantic profile piece "Autism's First Child," he is currently writing a book on the history of autism to be published by Crown in 2013.
