Bio : Jonathan Shank / Terrapin Station Entertainment
As the CEO of Terrapin Station Entertainment (a joint venture with Sony Masterworks), Los Angeles-based Jonathan Shank has firmly placed himself at the unconventional intersection of artist management (Victoria Justice, Scarypoolparty, Laura Marano), event production, immersive installations, talent development, and community enrichment. A music obsessive who has worked with everyone from the Bob Marley Estate to the Grateful Dead’s Mickey Hart, Shank is a recognized pioneer in bringing beloved intellectual property to the live stage, with productions such as Disney Junior Dance Party On Tour, Peppa Pig Live! and Gabby’s Dollhouse, generating more than $80 million in gross box office sales. As part of his extensive work with Mickey Hart, he also earned a Grammy Award in 2009 for his role in creating the groundbreaking album Global Drum Project. In 2020, he received the T.J. Martell Trailblazer Award for his work producing such charity events as The Homeward Bound Concert and A Tribute to the Music of Linda Ronstadt.
Recently, Terrapin Station Entertainment was behind The Heart of Town, a special three-night concert series with Grahame Lesh celebrating the Grateful Dead’s 60th anniversary from July 31–August 2 in San Francisco and the North American stage debut of Gabby’s Dollhouse Live! Presented by Walmart, with a 75+ city tour launching September 2025, building buzz ahead of the Gabby’s Dollhouse movie (featuring Kristen Wiig) this fall. Jonathan was also appointed to Music Will’s Board of Trustees, in addition to co-chairing the 2025 Music Will Benefit, honoring Wyclef Jean, Sara Bareilles, Jackson Browne, and Kristin Chenoweth– more via Variety.
