Lora McLaughlin Peterson hails from Pittsburg, Kansas. Born into the restaurant business, cooking is literally in her DNA. She has a journalism degree and an Emmy. She spent years in local news in Los Angeles before ending up as a network correspondent. During her years in news, she hosted a popular CBS segment called “All About You,” showing viewers how to live a fabulous lifestyle for less and earning her the title of "The Budget Martha Stewart.” In January 2021, she launched LORAfied, a social media company focusing on food and lifestyle content. This May, Lora released her debut cookbook The LORAfied Cookbook: Easy Recipes and Budget-Friendly Hacks For Feeding the Whole Family! which features 100 low-ingredient recipes, plus her favorite kitchen hacks, to create tasty meals that the entire family will enjoy. The cookbook is a national best-seller, ranking at #14 on USA Today and #15 on Publisher Weekly’s best-sellers lists. She has built a community of nearly 3 million fans across socials, and her half-homemade expertise has been featured on TODAY, Sherri, Live with Kelly & Mark, as well as The Pioneer Woman, Parade, Woman’s World and more.
