Patrick McEnroe is a tennis executive, broadcaster, and former U.S. Davis Cup captain whose influence on the sport extends far beyond his playing days. After retiring from professional tennis in 1998, he became one of ESPN’s leading tennis analysts, known for his sharp insight and engaging commentary across all four Grand Slam tournaments. In administration, McEnroe served as the General Manager of USTA Player Development, shaping the next generation of American players and modernizing the nation’s coaching infrastructure. As U.S. Davis Cup captain from 2000 to 2010, he guided the team to victory in 2007 — America’s first title in over a decade. He is also the Executive Director of the John McEnroe Tennis Academy, where he continues to mentor and develop emerging talent. In 2023, he was named President of the International Tennis Hall of Fame, where he champions the sport’s global legacy and growth. McEnroe also hosts the SiriusXM show “Holding Court,” blending his expertise and passion for tennis with thoughtful commentary on the game’s culture and future. McEnroe lives in New York with his wife Melissa Errico, TONY® Award-Nominated Broadway actress, singer & writer and their three teenage daughters.
