Trixie Mattel Bio
Trixie Mattel is an American singer, actor, drag queen and recognized “Skinny Legend.” Trixie is the winner of “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” season 3 (originally competing on season 7). She is also a Billboard Heatseekers #1 charting recording artist (One Stone, 2018), a wildly successful touring act, and one half of a comic duo with Katya on YouTube (“UNHhhh” & Netflix's "I Like To Watch").
In 2019, Trixie worked the festival circuit as the subject of a bio documentary, “Trixie Mattel: Moving Parts,” debuted her cosmetics company Trixie Cosmetics, and released her “Skinny Legend” comedy special.
She also released a New York Times best-selling book with Katya called “Trixie and Katya's Guide to Modern Womanhood” and also started a podcast with Katya called “The Bald And The Beautiful”.
Since then, Mattel has partnered with Fender, worked with Integrity Toys to release the “Trixie” doll, was nominated for a Critics Choice Award for her “One Night Only” comedy special, and appeared as one of the judges for the hit Paramount+ Queen of the Universe singing competition alongside Michelle Visage, Leona Lewis and Vanessa Williams.
Since 2022, she starred in her own Discovery+ reality renovation show "Trixie Motel" and released her double LP ‘The Blonde and Pink Albums’ to acclaim from Rolling Stone, Billboard, People, Vogue, NPR and more, as well as a performance slots on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and at Austin City Limits.
2023 saw Trixie perform at the Stagecoach Festival, get nominated for two GLAAD Media Awards as well as two Critics Choice Awards, unveil the Trixie and Katya Live livestream via Veeps, grace the covers of Los Angeles Magazine and Wussy Magazine, and release multi-million-viewed video content via her YouTube channel featuring the likes of Orville Peck, Jaida Essence Hall, Laganja Estranja, Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, Rita Moreno, and Sally Field.
Katya Bio
Brian McCook is an actor, author, and performing artist who, after graduating from Massachusetts College of Art in Boston, began performing as the drag persona Katya Zamolodchikova. Katya achieved notoriety after placing 5th on the 7th season of the reality competition series RuPaul's Drag Race and runner-up on the second season of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars. In 2019 Katya wrote and performed a solo show which toured North America, Europe, the UK and Australia.
Katya frequently collaborates alongside Drag Race alumna (season 7, and winner of All stars 3) Brian Firkus aka Trixie Mattel. The duo recently completed a worldwide tour of sold-out shows in 14 countries.
Katya and Trixie star in the acclaimed web series UNHhhh (now in its 8th season), as well as Netflix’s I Like to Watch series on YouTube, and also host the award-winning podcast The Bald and the Beautiful on the Studio71 network. They published their first book, Trixie and Katya’s Guide to Modern Womanhood which made its debut on the New York Times Bestseller List in 2020 and they released a follow-up, Working Girls, in 2022.
Katya has appeared on television in scripted roles on Playing House, Lucifer, Tales of the City, Love Victor, and Room 104 and also as herself in an episode of the viral hit Showtime series Ziwe. In 2020 she released her EP Vampire Fitness and music videos for the singles Ding Dong, Come in Brazil, and Be Your Own Dentist. She lives in Los Angeles with her ex-husband Glen and her 4 beautiful daughters.
