Expanding her creative reach beyond her own music, she continues to redefine what it means to be an artist.
Born in 1998 to a Korean mother and Japanese father, CHANMINA spent her childhood moving between Korea, Japan, and the U.S., cultivating a truly global sensibility.
Every song she creates draws from her real-life experiences — a reflection of her raw emotions and her uncompromising approach to self-expression.
Though she began her career as a rapper, her sound transcends genres and borders, shaped by her unique cultural background. She rejects binary labels — “Is it HIPHOP or POP? Is she Korean or Japanese?” — and instead channels that inner conflict into her music.
Her brutally honest lyrics and personal storytelling resonate deeply with younger generations, earning her a reputation as one of the most “real” voices of her era.
