Favorite place in the world and why?

South Haven, MI. My family and I have spent every single summer there since 1977 (no joke). I love it all: the lake, the ice cream parlor (Sherman’s), being lazy with my kids, connecting with my midwestern roots and leaving my non-stop, NYC life in Manhattan where it belongs!
Which celebrity do you get mistaken for?

Nicky Hilton (during her brunette stage)
Your most treasured possession?

Brother P-Touch 2200/2210 Label Maker. I’m an admitted, organizational junkie. Everything from my 1987 mix tapes to my baking sprinkles are impeccably labelled.

Favorite book - now or when you were a kid?

Helter Skelter by Vincent Bugliosi and Curt Gentry. Yes, I was an English major in college and I’m very familiar with the canon. But I can’t lie- I never tire of reading about the late 60’s Hollywood mayheim that ensued around the Manson scandal: sex, drugs and ample rock & roll will always keep me entertained.
First album you ever owned?

The Cure ‘Boys Don’t Cry.’ It reminds me of my rebellious teen escapades when I used to dance to house music through my 11:30pm curfew at the juice bar/teen nightclub called Medusas’s and spend days on end stalking River Phoenix who was in Chicago shooting A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon.
