On ‘Coming Forth By Day,’ Cassandra Wilson’s otherwordly homage to Billie Holiday in her centennial year, Cassandra partnered with an unlikely cast of characters including producer Nick Launay (Nick Cave’s producer),T Bone Burnett, Nick Zinner of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs,  the rhythm section from The Bad Seeds, and string arranger Van Dyke Parks.
