On Saturday 13th September Andrea Bocelli co-directed and performed at the ‘Grace for the World’ free concert: a celebration of music and human connection. Presented from the heart of Vatican City, and streamed live (on Disney+, Hulu and ABC News) the concert made history as the first musical event of its kind to be staged St. Peter’s Square.

The world-renowned tenor performed his hit track with KAROL G‘Vivo Por Ella’, for the first time together, as well as a rousing rendition of ‘Amazing Grace’ with Teddy Swims (read hyperlink).

Andrea Bocelli also announces his forthcoming single, a brand new version of ‘The Blessing’ recorded with Kari Jobe and Cody Carnes, to be released later this year on Decca / Capitol Christian Music Group.

In an unprecedented gathering of voices and vision, the one-off ‘Grace for the World’ performance united gospel, soul, hip-hop, pop, and classical, and closed the third World Meeting on Human Fraternity, celebrating the 2025 Jubilee Year.

The concert also featured musical performances from such worldclass talent as Pharrell Williams, Jennifer Hudson, John Legend, Clipse, Jelly Roll, BamBam,and Angélique Kidjo, each bringing a unique musical perspective that supports the event’s theme of unity. Additional international choristers joined, making the concert a truly global collaboration.

Maestro Andrea Bocelli said of the landmark cultural and spiritual event: “As an artist, I have always believed that music is not just entertainment, but above all a universal language: a bridge capable of uniting cultures, peoples, and hearts. It is a great honour and an equally great joy to lend my voice on the occasion of the World Meeting on Human Fraternity, in the hopeful belief that this initiative may instill in everyone’s hearts that sense of fraternity and humanity which is so deeply needed.”

Beyond the music, the evening showcased reflections from cultural, diplomatic, and sports leaders, plus an aerial drone and light show by Nova Sky Stories inspired by the Sistine Chapel’s artistry.

Created as a moment of global unity, streaming platforms brought together audiences from around the globe to enjoy a singular live experience like no other.

This follows a moving performance by Bocelli and his son Matteo for Pope Leo XIV a few days ahead of the ‘Grace for the World’ concert, on the occasion of the inauguration of the Laudato Si’ Village in Castel Gandolfo.
