2021 Spotify Hot Country Artist to WatchPandora 2021 Artist to Watch and CMT Next Women of Country artist, Spencer has fans eager for new music. On “Sober & Skinny,” which was written by Spencer with Gone West’s Nelly Joy and Jason Reeves, and produced by Aaron Eshuis (Ryan Hurd, Scotty McCreery), she demonstrates her innate ability to craft a story as she sings of a couple that points out each other’s flaws and vices.

Sober & Skinny started as a quirky story-idea that I started writing from my bed," says Spencer. "It’s the story of a couple, where each wants the other to change something about themselves. The song goes back and forth between facing reality and fantasizing of a perfect world where things could suddenly become better if only this couple aims for a sort of perfection that probably doesn’t exist. Songs like this one make me want to keep writing stories.”

Spencer is also a featured guest of The Highwomen with Amanda Shires and Madeline Edwards on a cover of Lady Gaga’s "Highway Unicorn (Road To Love)" for her 'Born This Way The Tenth Anniversary' album. The re-imagined song is available today (6.18). She’ll open shows for Jason Isbell’s tour this Fall with stops in Atlanta, Brandon, MS and Schaumburg, IL. Spencer will also perform at Merlefest and the Melissa Ethridge Cruise this year, and the Cayamo Cruise in 2022. Fans can expect new music to be announced in the coming months.
