EA SPORTS BOWL Opened the Biggest Weekend of the NFL Season

 

MIAMI, FL -- On Location Experiences, the official hospitality partner of the National Football League, and Bud Light, the official beer sponsor of the NFL, wrapped the second annual Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest. Kicking off Super Bowl LIV weekend, the three-day entertainment spectacular at the American Airlines Arena boasted performances from music’s top-tier acts ranging in genres from established performers Guns N’ RosesMaroon 5Snoop DoggDJ Khaled & Friends, and to fast-rising newcomers Meek MillDaBabyMegan Thee Stallion and Dan + Shay.

“We had such a blast in Atlanta last year during the first Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest, but knew we needed to really bring it for the second year in Miami,” says Shana Barry, Director of Experiential for Bud Light. “This year’s line-up has a little bit of something for everyone from hip-hop to classic rock to pop music, all to be enjoyed over a cold Bud Light or our new Bud Light Seltzer.”

Highlights of each evening of the Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest follow:

THURSDAY

Electronic Arts Inc.’s “EA SPORTS BOWL” brought “Miami’s home-court advantage as local DJ Khaled surprised fans with an all-star lineup” (Associated Press). Khaled shared the stage with friends including Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, Migos, Ludacris, 2 Chainz, Ball Greezy, Yo Gotti, Fabolous, Trick Daddy and Trina. Opening acts included Megan Thee Stallion, DaBaby and Meek Mill who invited several guests on stage including Yella Beezy, Gunna and Tory Lanez. There were also tributes to Kobe Bryant and late rapper Nipsey Hussle throughout the evening and a special unveil of the Madden NFL 20 Super Bowl LIV prediction by Peyton and Eli Manning.

Rick Ross, Lil Wayne Join DJ Khaled at Miami EA Sports Bowl

 

FRIDAY

The Super Friday show featured a rare three hour performance from headliners Guns N’ Roses, their first show of 2020. The set with classic-lineup members Slash, McKagan and Rose included “You’re Crazy” with Slash for the first time since 1993 and a dedication of “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door” to Kobe Bryant. Snoop Dogg opened the show and invited surprise guest Pharell on stage for a few songs.

SATURDAY

Bud Light Super Bowl Eve show featured rousing performances by Maroon 5 and Dan + Shay both performing in the round. Demi Lovato joined Dan + Shay on stage for a surprise guest performance on their ballad “Speechless.” “Maroon 5 rocked through a series of hits during a high-energy, 90-minute set” (Associated Press). Adam Levine also paid tribute to the late Kobe Bryant when he opened the encore set with an emotional rendition of “Memories.”
