Set to appear on ABC’s GMA3 on Fri., August 30 (check local listings)

Today (8.19), Texas-born country artist Don Louis shares ‘Liquor Talkin’,’ his debut album from EMPIRE that introduces his unmistakable deep baritone, as well as his ability to blend traditional Country, Rhythm and Blues and Hip-Hop in a way that recalls influences ranging from George Strait and Toby Keith to The Weeknd and J Cole.

Here’s what critics are saying:

“game-changing… a country upstart to pay attention to” — TODAY.com

“he is worthy of this fight for country music stardom” — PEOPLE

“possesses an attention-commanding, gravelly drawl” — Billboard

10 Country And Americana Artists You Need To Know — Holler

“a massively driven talent” — The Tennessean

Across 12 tracks on ‘Liquor Talkin’,’ Louis delivers the full spectrum of emotion and charismatic storytelling with full-blown boot-stomping jams like “Liquor Talkin’” and “Footloose,” flirtatious outpourings with “She’s Trouble” and “Buckle Bumpin’,” heartbreak on songs like “Stick To Whiskey” and the focus track “Drunk And Alone” (Listen here: youtu.be/x6Tp5FKjkmY?si=cokjw70tRGLH_S6q), and more.

While this record offers ample fun, fans also get an emotional journey with songs like “Tough Pill To Swallow,” which describes facing one's demons head-on, and “Give Me A Song,” which reminds listeners that music can heal better than any drink or drug. Louis reflects on the work he has put in and how far he has come on “Long Time Comin’,” and he imagines the kind of legacy he wants to leave behind on “When I’m Gone.”
