(June 22, 2026) // Ezra Collective have announced a run of North American headline dates this November, bringing their boundary-breaking live show to San Francisco, Toronto, New York City and Montréal. Before the November run, the group will visit Los Angeles for the LA Jazz Festival on Sunday, August 23. The tour follows the announcement of the London band’s forthcoming new album, Here Because of Hope, out September 18 on Partisan Records. Artist presale begins Tuesday, June 23 at 10 AM local time, with local/promoter presales beginning Wednesday, June 24 at 10 AM local time. All presales close Thursday, June 25 at 10 PM local time, ahead of the general on-sale Friday, June 26 at 10 AM local time. Info on touring and tickets here: https://ezracollective.com/pages/live

The newly announced dates arrive as Ezra Collective enter a major new chapter, following a run that has already brought their euphoric live show to NPR’s Tiny DeskHere Because of Hope is conceived as a body of work split into three spiritual and geographical movements, tracing the movement of Black people across continents and decades — from the music of West Africa to the rhythms of the Caribbean, and home to the streets of the United Kingdom. The album’s first preview, “Only Love” featuring British-Gambian rapper Pa Salieu, opened the West African movement of the project. The collaboration represents the band’s desire for the album’s African chapter to reflect a wider breadth of the continent’s sound, beyond the West African influences already embedded in Ezra Collective’s musical DNA. Listen Watch

“We really wanted a different sound to Africa,” says drummer and bandleader Femi Koleoso. “One that is distinctly African, but underrepresented. We wanted to make sure it was there.”

Earlier this month, Femi and James Mollison (sax) brought the world of Here Because of Hope to New York with a private album playback and a special edition of his popular London-born Situation Dance party at Cafe Erzulie. Taking place on the eve of the Knicks’ June 10 win, the party exploded into a celebratory late-night gathering, with them helping usher in the city’s energy from behind the decks.

Here Because of Hopearrives at an inflection point for Ezra Collective, on the heels of a series of tremendous accomplishments. Their 2024 album Dance, No One’s Watchingearned them the Group of the Year award at the BRITs, and they went on to headline the 12,000-seat Wembley Arena at the end of that year. 2022’s Where I’m Meant To Be won the Mercury Prize. These unprecedented achievements for a group rooted in jazz speak volumes about a band that has become a living argument that jazz can be joyful, urgent and entirely relevant — as much at home in a club as on a festival main stage.

Formed in the youth clubs of London and shaped by the rich musical life of the capital’s churches, clubs and streets, Ezra Collective are Femi Koleoso on drums, TJ Koleoso on bass, Joe Armon-Jones on keys, James Mollison on saxophone and Ife Ogunjobi on trumpet. Rooted in jazz but never confined by it, the group’s music moves freely through Afrobeat, highlife, reggae, dub, grime, hip-hop, soul and club culture, carrying the sound of London’s many communities into something communal, euphoric and unmistakably their own.

About:

Few bands in British music carry the weight of community, culture and craft quite like Ezra Collective. Formed in the youth clubs of London and shaped by the rich musical life of the capital's churches, clubs and streets, they’re a band whose story has always been inseparable from the environments that made them. Five musicians who grew up together, aged together, and have over a decade documenting that shared life in sound. Their journey from their formation in 2012 and first EP Chapter 7 in 2016 to the present day is one of the most compelling ascents in contemporary British music. Rooted in jazz but never confined by it, Ezra Collective became a living argument that jazz could be joyful, urgent and entirely relevant—as much at home in a sweaty basement as on a festival main stage. Speaking of which, Ezra Collective have appeared at the world’s finest festivals and on the finest stages. In addition to their beloved studio albums and praise from the Guardian, Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, and the New York Times, recent collaborations include with Fred Again and Catriel y Amoroso on Beto’s Horns, Ezra Remix, plus Olivia Dean, Jorja Smith, Sampa the Great, Greentea Peng, Nubya Garcia and many more.

Ezra Collective will tour internationally through 2026, including at LA Jazz Festival Sunday August 23. See below for the full itinerary, with more dates to be announced soon.
