Thursday, November 16th, 2023 - For the Birds: The Birdsong Project is furthering its total commitment to bird conservation with the announcement of its latest partnership with OBEY’s Shepard Fairey

Shepard Fairey and The Birdsong Project’s Randall Poster have joined forces to gather a group of artists to collaborate on a limited edition box set portfolio to celebrate the joy of birds, while drawing our attention to the environmental threats we all face. The box set will feature prints from 20 artists including Brian Calvin, Danny Romeril, Deedee Cheriel, Duke Riley, Eggpicnic, Ernesto Yerena, Faith47, Isobel Harvey, Jim Houser, Joonbug, Kevin Taylor, Keya Tama, Lovehawk, Mark Mothersbaugh, Monica Canilao, Ravi Zupa, Shepard Fairey, Sophie Wake, Tim Biskup, and TOMO77.

The box set featuring 20 bird-themed prints will be available for purchase on the OBEY website on November 20th. The box set is priced at $350.

“Birds have inspired art and music for centuries, and the National Audubon Society is honored to continue that tradition in partnership with the Birdsong Project and Shepard Fairey,” said Julisa Colón, Director of Brand Marketing at the National Audubon Society. “We are coming together to celebrate the joy of birds, listen to what birds are telling us about the state of the planet, and protect the places they need, today and tomorrow.”

To celebrate the launch of this print collection, Shepard Fairey will be offering it exclusively during his solo exhibition "ICONS," opening at the Subliminal Projects Gallery in Echo Park, Los Angeles. The gallery will feature the collection of prints and will open on Saturday, November 18th for a VIP showing at 6pm. At 7pm, the gallery will be open to the public and will run till the end of the year.

The box set will benefit the National Audubon Society as the Birdsong Project is a community dedicated to protecting bird life and celebrating the joy and mysteries of birdsong. The news comes just after an exciting development for the Birdsong team, who just this last week celebrated the announcement of its Grammy Nomination for Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package.
