Jacob Sartorius Wants You To Know You’re “Worth It”
|
Today (4.20), Gen-Z musician, actor, filmmaker and social media force Jacob Sartoriusshares his latest single “WORTH IT.” On “WORTH IT,” Jacob – who is known for his vulnerability and openness to share his struggles with his large following to show that they’re not alone – acknowledges all the hurt in the world, while simultaneously celebrating life’s goodness.
The song is a freestyle Jacob wrote on his own and then brought to Gingerbread (Barry Cohen / Sean Kingston, Jake Smith, iann dior) to work on production alongside collaborators Foster Pace and Wyatt Sanders (Diplo, Trippy Redd). “WORTH IT” packs an emotional punch alongside its infectious beat, admitting that life is not always perfect, no matter how it might seem on the surface.
“WORTH IT is a song I wrote about embracing life for what it is and being honest with where I’m at,” says Jacob. “Sometimes I don’t know about life, other times I love it, and this is about having these experiences positive and negative that shape my day-to-day perspective on things. Life is the biggest learning process there is and I'm very grateful to be here. To be able to take people on a tour inside my journal/mind and hopefully to even let one person know they’re not alone — that’s what it’s all about for me.”
“WORTH IT” follows “FEAR OF INTIMACY,” Jacob’s first 2022 release grappling with his commitment issues and anxieties. He recently released the official music video, an angsty and witty recreation of everyone’s worst nightmare: that classic dream where one arrives at an event, and suddenly realizes they forgot their clothes – watch it here.
Earlier this year, Jacob – who counts a combined 39 million+ followers across platforms – released his debut film, Breathe: The Documentary. The nearly 25-minute film chronicles Jacob’s trip to Amsterdam to meet his hero – dutch wellness guru Wim Hof, the creator of the breathwork technique that started Jacob on his journey to inner peace. Read more about the documentary and how introducing the Wim Hof breathing method into his daily routine completely changed his life via GQ. Additionally, Jacob’s recent appearances include the iHeart Radio Music Awards and the GRAMMY Awards, and he is working on more music for later this year.
