Many artists work odd-jobs and pay their dues while pursuing a career in music. For both rising Heartland-country artist Logan Mize and soul-stirring vocalist Clare Dunn, it was hauling grain on 18-wheeler semi trucks. The two artists get back to their trucking roots in Mize's new “Get ‘Em Together” music video out today, Wed., Dec. 9.

The new video showcases Mize and Dunn's "true country grit" (CMT), here: youtu.be/y-aakCxN4e8

The lighthearted new video is proof of how artists families are supporting their art during pandemic — Mize enlisted his cousin-in-law Jordan Horsch to direct while filming on wife and fellow musician Jill Martin’s family farm in Kansas.

"It's a fun song, and I think the video helps show a fun side of both our personalities,” says Mize. "We shot the daytime scenes at my place in Kansas. I live on a dirt road that gets maybe 2 or 3 tractors down it a day, so we didn't have to worry about shutting down roads. The performance shots were at the Mount Hope, KS co-op which is about 6 miles or so from the house — I can see it from the front porch."

Written by Dallas Davidson (Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan), Mark Holman (Florida Georgia Line), Ben Hayslip (George Strait, Rodney Atkins, Thomas Rhett), and Justin Wilson (Craig Campbell), “Get ‘Em Together” peaks at Mize and Dunn’s rural upbringing.

“When people listen to this song, I hope they know that no matter where or how you grow up, if you work hard and always do the right thing, you can get where you want to be,” says Dunn. "Follow your heart and your vision - that's what makes us each unique."

“Get ‘Em Together” follows Mize’s “Who Didn’t” single, continuing a musical theme of home-spun nostalgia. Both tracks will be featured on Mize’s forthcoming ‘Still That Kid’ album due Jan. 27. The album is available for pre-save at fanlink.to/StillThatKid. For more information, visit loganmize.com.

Dunn, who recently released her 3-song ‘For Christmas’ EP (11.13), will share her new single “Real Thing” on Jan. 15, previewing her 2021 EP slated for February. For more information, visit biglink.to/ClareDunn.
