Lyte Adds Desert Daze To 2021 Festival Lineup

Set for Nov. 12-14, this weekend of concerts at Lake Perris, CA features performances by The War On Drugs, Toro Y Moi, Kamasi Washington, Japanese Breakfast, Yves Tumor & more

Lyte - the reservations technology platform that is transforming e-commerce for live events - has added one of Southern California’s premier festivals, Desert Daze, to its 2021 festival lineup. Produced by Moon Block and Knitting Factory, Desert Daze offers a one of a kind experience by combining unique art installations with a carefully curated lineup, all to the backdrop of the natural beauty of Lake Perris, CA. In addition to the headliners, this year’s event will feature performances by Crumb, Tim Heidecker & Weyes Blood, Ty Segall, Devendra Banhart, The Black Angels, and more between Nov. 12-14.

For Desert Daze fans, Lyte provides a safe and simple way to access official passes to this year’s festival and the opportunity to return them if their plans change. Lyte is also launching their Private Exchange tool to support peer to peer ticket transactions. This enables fans to transfer their ticket to a friend instead of returning it, or being driven to a third party.

Lyte is so proud to welcome such a tastefully curated event in a beautiful location to its portfolio of partners,” says Lyte’s Chief Strategy Officer Lawrence Peryer. “We look forward to delivering Desert Daze fans and visitors a ticketing e-commerce experience on par with the musical and event experience of the festival itself.

Lyte’s technology is a driving force in this year’s return to live events by creating an alternate universe for ticketing that is becoming more and more irresistible to festivals, concerts and promoters. Lyte has delivered millions of dollars in savings by enabling fans to reserve, return and exchange tickets through its proprietary risk-free reservations system that top live entertainment brands are also now using to confront the uncertainty created by the pandemic. Lyte’s reservations and returns technology help events confront the harsh secondary market by keeping tickets within the event’s own ecosystem. Artists and events can even use Lyte to aggregate demand for their events before going on sale, giving them the knowledge to book a smarter room, add a show, and go to the city with the greatest amount of fans.

While many industries faltered or shut down last year, Lyte sprinted into the uncertainty, eventually landing CEO Ant Taylor on Rolling Stone’s Future 25 list, as one of the talented and forward-thinking execs in the field.

This year alone, Lyte touched tickets for thousands of fans at a number of major festivals across the US, including Life is Beautiful, Pitchfork Music Festival, Beachlife Festival, Lost Lands, Treefort, Newport Folk Festival, Newport Beach Jazz Festival, Riot Fest, Under The Big Sky, Woodsist, Baja Beach Fest, WinterWonderGrass, and more. In addition to their festival roster, Lyte has partnered with artists including Jacob Collier, Jackson Browne, and most recently, Billy Strings as well as venues including the 9:30 Club, The Anthem and Merriweather Post Pavillion in the D.C. area, Levon Helm Studios, Higher Ground in Burlington, Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles and more.

Lyte’s technology has delivered millions of dollars in savings by enabling fans to reserve, return and exchange tickets through its proprietary risk-free reservations system that top live entertainment brands are also now using to confront the uncertainty created by the pandemic. Lyte’s industry-friendly solutions have been utilized by festivals, major tours with the likes of Mumford & Sons and Wilco, and recently featured in Rolling Stone and Billboard.
