Lyte -- the reservations technology platform reimagining e-commerce for artists, fans and live events -- continues to elevate its executive team with the announcement of Donovan Bass joining the company as VP of Product Marketing. The announcement arrives on the heels of major solutions offered by Lyte, including the launch of their transformative Priority Reservation technology making it easier and safer than ever for fans to get tickets, and a partnership with the Life Is Beautiful music festival in Las Vegas for single-day ticket reservations to confront the secondary sales market.
As VP of Product Marketing, Bass will build Lyte’s strategic foundation for the next stage of market growth, and further enable Lyte to establish a strong market presence. He will lead the company-wide development of product messaging and positioning as well as the pricing and packaging strategy, and will drive high-visibility product launches. With experience across entertainment, productivity, creativity and wellness, Bass uses a complete understanding of customer lifestyles to create products that delight their users and campaigns that bring brands closer to their target audience.
Bass joins Lyte from VSCO, where he led Product Marketing and shifted product and business strategies towards new customer segments and growth opportunities, leading to VSCO's resurgence in mobile creativity. Throughout his career, he has led established tech companies and disruptive startups - such as Dropbox, Zoox, and Jawbone - to product-market fit during moments of transformational change. Bass is a graduate of Duke University where he serves as a mentor and advisor for its Duke Technology Scholars program.
“Over the past year, Donovan and I have built a friendship and informal partnership discussing the peculiarities of live events and plotting what we might do together,” says Ant Taylor, Lyte CEO and Founder. “Donovan’s pedigree and track record finding the way for massive consumer technology brands - in Dropbox and VSCO and Zoox and Jawbone - is second to none. As the industry emerges from Covid, I am excited to have Donovan lead the way in revealing the full articulation of Lyte’s consumer and e-commerce vision.”
"I couldn't be more thrilled to be joining Lyte right now,” says Donovan Bass. “I'm excited to help fans get back to the events we could only dream about over the past year and to build on the incredible platform Lyte has developed. We have a unique opportunity in this moment to reassess e-commerce and live events, and I believe Lyte has the right team, technology and vision to make them better than ever."

Lyte most recently made headlines when revealing their Priority Reservation technology, which enables fans to pick the event criteria they want, and once matched, get access to a private ticket onsale that no longer forces them to compete with bots and scalpers in timed on-sales. Recent partnerships also include Vegas’ Life Is Beautiful to host reservations for single-day tickets to the three-day festival to confront the active secondary market, and with artist booking agency Mint Talent Group (read more via Rolling Stone). These partnerships further showcase Lyte’s novel solution to ticketing problems and illustrate just how irresistible Lyte’s technology is for fans and artists alike.
