Lyte Reveals Priority Reservation, Further Revolutionizing The Post-Pandemic, Live Show Ticketing Experience

Lyte -- the reservations technology platform reimagining ecommerce for artists, fans and live events -- reveals Priority Reservation, a convenient and flexible way for fans to place a reservation for tickets to even the most in-demand artist tours. As live events begin to return, Priority Reservation completely changes the typical ticket buying process and again shows that Lyte is at the forefront of revolutionizing the post-pandemic, live show experience.

With Priority Reservation, fans choose from a variety of options, including market and number of tickets they are interested in, and make a reservation using a credit card. When tickets that match their reservation criteria become available, these fans are among the first to be given access to tickets through a private onsale.

Lyte’s irresistibility is undeniable. Booking through Priority Reservation offers fans access to shows with unprecedented flexibility. If they’re unable to attend the show, Lyte offers them the option to swap for another show, or exchange their reservation for either credits toward a future show or cash. Fans can also transfer, change or modify their reservation at any time without losing their place in line.

Concert-goers have long been forced into inconveniently timed on-sales just to compete with other fans, automated ticket-buying bots, and professional scalpers - only to find the tickets they want are no longer available. Though the first concert tickets were sold online a generation ago, there has been no ticketing e-commerce experience tailored to the unique needs of fans. Lyte is the solution.

My vision for Lyte has always been to fill every venue with true fans who have all had a magical experience accessing tickets,” says Ant Taylor, Lyte’s Founder and CEO. “Priority Reservation is a key milestone along that vision, allowing fans to “set and forget” their ticket-buying preferences. Instead of chasing down tickets, we bring the tickets to them.”

Easy access to tickets for true fans has been an obsession of mine for over 20 years,” adds Lawrence Peryer, Lyte’s Chief Strategy Officer. “That obsession drove my work building early online fan communities for global touring artists like the Rolling Stones and scores of others. It drove me while building the Artist Services division of Warner Music and it drove me in my time at Amazon Tickets. Today, at long last, that itch is scratched with Lyte’s Priority Reservations, which for the very first time delivers fans an ecommerce experience previously unimaginable in event ticketing.

Among the early adopters to bring Priority Reservation to fans is singer-songwriter Joshua Radin, who said, “I’m committing to getting back on the road as soon as it is safe for me, my fans, crew and venue workers. In the meantime, I want my fans to have something to look forward to and to know that my team and I care as much about their experience buying tickets to the show as we do about the performance itself. We choose our venues carefully, our production vendors and now we can choose who helps us get tickets into fans’ hands, something we’ve had no say in before. Lyte is revolutionizing the way we work out tours and how fans get tickets, even with all of the craziness in the world.”

Fans can start to use Priority Reservation immediately, for tours including Joshua RadinJORDY, and the first-ever tour based on the #1 selling kids toys of the last three Holiday seasons, L.O.L. Surprise!. To get started, visit lyte.com/events or keep an eye out for announcements from your favorite artist.

This is just another way that Lyte is proving it’s “vital” (Rolling Stone) to the concert industry re-opening. Since December, there’s been a tremendous amount of growth and news coming from Lyte: they’ve announced their first agency partnership with The Mint Talent Group, a 30+ artist partnership for touring in 2021. This news followed the announcements of a Series B round of $38 million, the supercharging of its executive team and recent launches in Australia and New Zealand. Earlier this month, Lyte announced a partnership with Life Is Beautiful to host reservations for single-day tickets to the three-day festival in Las Vegas (Sept. 17-Sept. 19). This partnership showcases Lyte’s novel solution to ticketing problems and is at the vanguard of the return of live events, with a focus on fans and protecting them from the secondary ticket sales market.
