Outshine Talent Signs One Of TikTok’s Most-Popular Couples, Adrien & Carson

Adrien Nuñez marks Outshine’s first NIL Signing

Outshine Talent expands its exemplary talent roster with the signing of Adrien Nuñez and Carson Roney. Adrien marks the first Name, Image, Likeness (NIL) signing for Outshine.

Adrien, a 22-year old University of Michigan guard, and Carson, a 23-year-old former Shawnee State forward, have quickly become one of TikTok’s most-popular couples. The couple now boasts a combined 6 million followers on TikTok, landing at #9 on ESPN’s Top 25 list of marketable college basketball athletes.

The NCAA’s announcement of NIL earlier this year was a groundbreaking development for college athletes, granting them the ability to seize money-making opportunities.

This signing marks a monumental milestone for Outshine, who already touts an impressive roster of diverse and talented creators. As the first NIL signing, Adrien -- who is still actively playing in the NCAA -- is now able to monetize his success online and on the court. Alongside Carson, the duo already has relationships with established brand partners including Coach, Spotify, Coca Cola, Hugo Boss, Candy Crush, Garnier Fructis, Victoria Secret and are working with Outshine to expand their brand footprint.

"When I was looking into NIL and the opportunity to work with college athletes, I was so impressed with the professionalism and work ethic of Adrien and Carson," says Outshine's Founder and CEO Barbara Jones. "I appreciate the fact that they're also really enjoying making great content! Their solo content is engaging, but their chemistry as a couple is also really compelling. We see so much potential in helping both of them build their careers beyond basketball."

"I was making content on social media and was consistently growing my profiles. Once the NIL ruling passed and I started being approached by brands, I saw it as a real opportunity to build a personal brand while still in school," says Nuñez. "I'm excited to continue to build my profile and establish new partnerships guided by my new team at Outshine! I hope I'm setting a great example of how NIL relationships can work for college athletes and brands."

"When I was playing last year, I was in a different conference that had rules which allowed brand partnerships," adds Roney. "Adrien and I wouldn’t have been able to do any deals together if the NIL rule hadn’t passed last summer. We create so much content together, the opportunity for us to now joint brand partnerships while he's still in school, like we're currently doing with Coach, wouldn't have been possible a year ago."

Headed by Barbara Jones, Outshine Talent develops and implements strategic, big-picture career plans specific to each of their talent’s roster, which includes discovering and launching the careers of Charli and Dixie D’Amelio and representing Frankie Jonas, Coco Rocha, Tyler Gaca, Tyshon Lawrence, My Nguyen, Parker James and more. Jack Gorlin co-manages Adrien and Carson with Jones. Outshine Talent is represented by Paige Kaplan at Greenberg Traurig, LLP.
