Beloved Family Concert Series The Rock And Roll Playhouse Announces Fall 2019 Season In Partnership With Can'd Aid

Fall Season Includes 80+ Shows Across 25 Cities + Annual Halloween Spooktacular Featuring The Music Of Phish

The Rock and Roll Playhouse, a national family concert series that encourages kids to “move, play and sing while listening to works from the classic-rock canon” (NY Times), today announces its fall 2019 season. The beloved organization will bring the music of The Beatles, The Grateful Dead, Queen, Madonna, Aretha Franklin and more to 27 venues across 25 US cities during their biggest, most exciting season yet. Full season line-up below.

Included in the fall lineup is the Rock and Roll Playhouse’s annual Halloween Spooktacular series featuring The Music of Phish. At this year’s Halloween Spooktacular events, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in an Instagram Halloween costume contest, where show attendees who tag @TheRockAndRollPlayhouse or use #TheRockAndRollPlayhouse hashtag are entered to win a D'angelico Guitar, tickets to future shows and more. Full details on the contest below.

Their fall 2019 season will see its debut at brand new venues like the Crystal Ballroom in Portland, Oregon and marks the beginning of an exciting creative partnership between the Rock and Roll Playhouse and Can'd Aid, a national nonprofit organization based in Colorado. The Rock and Roll Playhouse will donate a portion of tickets sold to Can'd Aid's Tunes program, which helps grow the next generation of musicians by donating new instruments to public school music programs across the country.

“Connecting with young kids as they begin their exploration with music and having the opportunity to bring awareness to their parents about our Tunes program is invaluable,” says Can’d Aid’s Executive Director Diana Ralston of the creative partnership. “The fact that every RRPH ticket sold will now help get instruments into kid’s hands is really exciting and will be deeply impactful.”

Speaking about the collaboration, The Rock and Roll Playhouse’s Executive Director Amy Striem says, “The Rock and Roll Playhouse strives to introduce, inspire, and teach children about rock ‘n’ roll music by creating a fun and safe live music experiences for families all over the country.  One of our goals is to see our audience members bring that energy and curiosity about music from the RRPH experience into their homes, schools, and communities. Our partnership with Can'd Aid helps to ensure that opportunities exist for all children to find that musical inspiration in school by helping to get instruments into kid’s hands through the Can'd Aid Tunes Program.  We are proud to be partnering with Can'd Aid by donating a portion of our ticket sales to help pass along the music to the next generation.”

This past Saturday, the Rock and Roll Playhouse partnered with Bustle’s Romper to host a special afternoon of food, music and family fun in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park. The inaugural Camp Romper event featured a number of arts and crafts activities like yoga, t-shirt customization and live music from Music of NOLA with Black Tie Brass, Rock n Roll for Kids and Women Who Rock.
