Summerfest Announces First Marcus Amphitheater Headliner For 2015: Florida Georgia Line Set To Perform Opening Day, June 24
MILWAUKEE (November 6, 2014) – With Summerfest less than eight months away, Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. officials are excited to announce the first major show slated for the 2015 festival. Florida Georgia Line will kick-off the Opening Day of Summerfest 2015 when they bring their Anything Goes Tour with Thomas Rhett and Frankie Ballard to the Marcus Amphitheater on Wednesday, June 24.
Florida Georgia Line has skyrocketed to stardom becoming the only artist in history to join Brooks & Dunn in achieving four back-to-back, multi-week #1 singles; breaking the record for longest #1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart and selling nearly 20 million tracks worldwide of their 2X PLATINUM debut HERE’S TO THE GOOD TIMES. Their signature anthem, “Cruise,” has been certified 8X PLATINUM and is the best-selling digital country single of all time, according to SoundScan. As a duo that is unafraid to take risks and innovate, their new, chart-topping album ANYTHING GOES describes them best, as they have taken that approach over the years and never once compromised their vision.
