Summerfest Announces More Headliners And Gives Away $1 Million In Tickets With New “Smile On” Fest Flag Campaign

Participants have the chance to win great prizes including an all-inclusive trip to Mexico

Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. (MWF) announced today that they will be giving away $1 million in tickets to fest-fans starting today over the course of the next few months, leading up to Summerfest 2013 which begins on Wednesday, June 26 and runs through June 30 and then again from July 2 through July 7.

Summerfest will launch an extensive promotional campaign featuring events, giveaways and more over the coming months. Fest-fans are encouraged to “Smile On ... and Win!” when they join in the fan-driven FEST FLAG movement online. Here’s how fans can join in the viral FEST FLAG movement and win great prizes:

--Fans should get their hands on a free FEST FLAG, which includes one (1) Weekday Admission ticket valid for admission Tuesday – Friday, prior to 4:00 pm, when they attend Summerfest Street Team events, select professional Milwaukee team sporting events or get them from Summerfest media partners. 

--Snap a photo of themselves with their FEST FLAG at their favorite places in Milwaukee and around the world.

--Share their photos with Summerfest through their favorite social networks and at Summerfest.com/FESTFLAG where they can register to win great prize packages each week that include Summerfest ticket packages, Marcus Amphitheater tickets and the Grand Prize – a Funjet Vacations Getaway to Cancun, Mexico with all-inclusive accommodations at RIU Palace Peninsula courtesy of Milwaukee’s own, Funjet Vacations and Summerfest!

--Lucky FEST FLAG photo submissions may even be selected to be featured on Summerfest.com and in Summerfest’s “Smile On” social media pages and posts.

To kick things off in Milwaukee, the Summerfest Street Team will be making three exclusive stops to give away FEST FLAGS:

12-1pm - Grand Avenue Mall Food Court (275 W. Wisconsin Ave., Milwaukee)
2-3pm - UW-Milwaukee Spaight’s Plaza (2380 E. Kenwood Blvd., Milwaukee)
6-7pm - Hooters (17105 W. Bluemound Rd., Brookfield)

Seven additional Grounds Stage Headliners were also announced and include Matt & Kim, ZZ Ward, The Go-Go’s, Cold War Kids, 311, Talib Kwelil and Courtyard Hounds. Summerfest 2013 will take place June 26 - 30 and July 2 - 7, from Noon until Midnight and will be closed Monday, July 1.
