Summerfest Celebrates 55th Anniversary in 2023

MILWAUKEE, WI  – After celebrating a successful return to summer, Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. (MWF) announced that Summerfest presented by American Family Insurance will take place over three consecutive weekends (Thursday-Saturday), June 22-24, June 29-July 1, and July 6-8, 2023.

Headliners announced so far include:

Eric Church with special guest Elle King on June 22

Zac Brown Band on June 23

James Taylor and his All-Star Band with special guest Sheryl Crow on  June 24

Dave Matthews Band on  June 29

ODESZA  on June 30

Zach Bryan on July 7

Imagine Dragons with special guest AJR on July 8 

Other performers announced include Ava Max, Marcus King, Cheap Trick, Avett Brothers, Santa Fe Klan, Earth Wind & Fire, Lauren Daigle and Styx. Full lineup announcement expected in March.

In 2023, Summerfest will celebrate its 55^th anniversary, a milestone for one of the most iconic music celebrations in America. Since its inception, Summerfest continues to distinguish itself by hosting the industry’s biggest acts at a world-class festival park and providing an unforgettable live music experience for fans of all ages, at an admission price that defies industry standards.  Summerfest has a rich history, getting its start in 1968 and continues to draw music fans from around the globe each year.   As an independent and premier national music festival, produced by the nonprofit organization Milwaukee World Festival, Inc., Summerfest has successfully gathered the community through music and summer fun for over five decades, becoming part of the fabric of Wisconsin.  This anniversary also marks MWF’s continued commitment to fulfill its nonprofit mission of bringing the community together and providing a showcase for performing arts, activities, and recreation to the public, through music and special events.

Returning in 2023 is also the sixth annual Summerfest Tech, Milwaukee’s premiere tech event.  It will take place over three days, Tuesday June 27 - Thursday June 29, 2023, and will remain free of charge and accessible virtually.
