Pitch Competition Returns With New Track-Focused Categories

MILWAUKEE, WI – Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. (MWF) is excited to announce details for the eighth annual Summerfest Tech, Milwaukee’s premiere tech event. The 2025 conference titled “Summerfest TechAI” will focus on the Artificial Intelligence (AI) tech landscape throughout the event, June 23-26, 2025, at Henry Maier Festival Park and Potawatomi Casino | Hotel. The 2025 edition will build upon the success of 2024, which expanded to a four-day event with over 2,900 registrants from 37 states and nine countries, 98 speakers and 48 programming sessions. The annual conference which began in 2018, convenes thousands of business and tech professionals, entrepreneurs, and investors in Milwaukee, enhancing the Midwest’s reputation as a tech hub. 

Keynote speakers for Summerfest TechAI include:

  • Eric Siegel - Gooder AI CEO and bestselling author, who will keynote the gold-standard, six-step practice for ushering predictive AI projects from conception to deployment.
  • Henna Pryor - Workplace Performance Expert and author, who will reveal how to turn AI into a catalyst for deeper collaboration, stronger influence, and a high-performing, future-ready team

 Summerfest TechAI will feature four distinctive industry tracks, highlighting key sectors driving tech ecosystem growth in Wisconsin and the Midwest - Healthcare and Biohealth, Energy and Sustainability, Advanced Manufacturing, and Financial Services. Each track will offer specialized breakout sessions designed for industry leaders and executives, technologists, and professionals in community advocacy and talent development.

The popular Summerfest Tech Pitch Competition, sponsored by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) will return in 2025. Last year, the competition attracted over 140 start-ups from around the globe. New this year - the competition will feature four track-focused mini-pitches, each spotlighting key industries -Healthcare/Biohealth (sponsored by Inflect), Energy & Sustainability (sponsored by Generac Power Systems), Advanced Manufacturing (sponsored by Molson Coors), and Financial Services. Participants will have the opportunity to compete for a share of the $20,000 cash prize, along with other prizes. Applications are now open at Summerfest Tech Pitch Competition through April 18, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.

Summerfest TechAI is expanding with two exciting new additions to its lineup: Deep Tech Certification Courses and the Summerfest TechAI Invitational golf outing – “Where Innovation Meets the Fairway.” The tech ed courses will provide attendees with specialized training in emerging technologies ranging from networking and cybersecurity systems to cloud and AI use-case centered applications. This technical education opportunity will be led by the MKE Tech Hub Coalition. The Summerfest TechAI Invitational, hosted by MARS Solutions Group in partnership with Harness.io, will take place on June 23, 2025, at Muskego Lakes Country Club, offering a unique networking opportunity. Both the certification courses and golf outing require Summerfest Tech registration and will have additional costs.
