An Evening with Lucinda Williams

Saturday, November 9

[Doors: 6:30pm / Show: 8:00pm]

Lucinda Williams’ music has gotten her through her darkest days. It’s been that way since growing up amid family chaos in the Deep South, as she recounts in her candid new memoir, Don’t Tell Anybody the Secrets I told You. Over the past two years, it’s been the force driving her recovery from a debilitating stroke she suffered on November 17, 2020, at age 67. Her masterful, multi-Grammy-winning songwriting has never deserted her. To wit, her stunning, sixteenth studio album, Stories from a Rock n Roll Heart, brims over with some of the best work of her career. And though Williams can no longer play her beloved guitar – a constant companion since age 12 – her distinctive vocals sound better than ever. “I’m singing my ass off,” she told Vanity Fair in February, following her first European tour since 2019. The love emanating from audiences and her musical family onstage and in the studio exemplify the healing power of music, says Williams.

An Evening with Shakey Graves & Buffalo Hunt

Saturday, December 14

[Doors: 6:30pm / Show: 8:00pm]

Across his career, Shakey Graves — a.k.a. the performance moniker of Austin, Texas-born Alejandro Rose- Garcia — has intentionally created thrilling musical adventures tailored to each fan: burning CDs and putting them in personalized decorated bags; building intricate scavenger hunts that send fans in search of unique tapes; and Bandcamp-exclusive releases.

Buffalo Hunt is the songwriting moniker of Austin, TX, multi-hyphenate Stephanie Hunt, who when not acting, writing or hosting, is composing thoughtful “take-a-puff-and-put-on-the-headphones” kind of songs with lyrics that cleverly upend your expectations or surprise you with metaphor. Touting a sound that seamlessly blends psychedelic pop, Laurel Canyon-style songcraft and midcentury honky-tonk touches, she makes music you are meant to spend time with.

An Evening with Marc Roberge and Jon Lampley of O.A.R.

Thursday, December 19

[Doors: 6:30pm / Show: 8:00pm]

As frontman for multi-platinum-selling alt-rock band O.A.R., Marc Roberge has performed for sold-out crowds at many of the world’s most iconic venues and helped to build a singularly devoted fanbase that spans the entire globe. With the band now on their tenth studio album (2022’s The Arcade), the New York City-based singer/songwriter/guitarist has also established a dynamic career as a solo artist over the past decade. In a departure from the unbridled energy of O.A.R.’s live show, Roberge’s solo tours find him taking the stage at more intimate theaters and delivering stripped-back renditions of O.A.R. fan favorites, along with a carefully curated selection of covers. Also rooted in his off-the-cuff and warmly candid conversations with the audience, the result is a prime showcase for Roberge’s deeply personal yet immediately resonant storytelling—an element he’s continually brought to O.A.R.’s music since the Maryland-bred band’s formation in 1996. Naming classic country troubadours among the main inspirations behind his solo shows, Roberge is now at work on a debut solo album that spotlights the more lyrically driven and folk-leaning side of his limitless musicality with a chance of special guests.

The Black Crowes: Happiness Bastards Tour (The Reprise)

Saturday, December 21

Sunday, December 22

[Doors: 6:30pm / Show: 8:00pm]

The Black Crowes are leaving the bullshit in the past. 15 years after their last album of original music, the Robinson Brothers present Happiness Bastards - their 10th studio album. Some may say the project has been several tumultuous years in the making, but we argue it's arriving at just the right time. Call it brotherly love or music destiny that brought them back together, the highly anticipated record consecrating the reunion of this legendary band just may be the thing that saves rock & roll. In a time where the art form is buried beneath the corporate sheen of its successors, The Black Crowes are biting back with the angst of words left unsaid penned on paper and electrified by guitar strings, revealing stripped, bare-boned rock & roll.

107.1 The Peak Presents Guster - We Also Have Eras Tour

Saturday, January 25

[Doors: 7:00pm / Show: 8:30pm]

Not long before the making of their new album Ooh La La, Guster celebrated three decades together as a band—a journey that’s included landing a series of hits on the Billboard charts, working with luminaries like Steve Lillywhite and Richard Swift, launching their own music festival, and amassing an ardent fanbase partly on the strength of their relentless touring and deeply communal live show. But despite reaching a milestone few musical acts ever come close to attaining, Guster’s ninth studio LP reveals a band fully in touch with the voracious creative energy that first inspired their formation. A major leap forward for lead vocalist Ryan Miller, guitarist Adam Gardner, drummer Brian Rosenworcel, and multi-instrumentalist Luke Reynolds, Ooh La La ultimately matches that wide-eyed spirit with a newly heightened sense of confidence, conviction, and commitment to the raw sincerity that’s made them so beloved.

Thursday, January 30

[Doors: 6:30pm / Show: 8:00pm]

Drive-By Truckers released their third 'studio' album Southern Rock Opera on September 11th, 2001. The band signed their very first record deal with Lost Highway Records, who reissued the album in the summer of 2002 as the tour stretched to the end of the year. A trajectory that saw the band moving from small dive bars and sleeping on floors, to playing bigger rooms and theaters, and touring on a bus. Southern Rock Opera became the first of a string of albums that has seen the critically acclaimed band morph and continue to thrive for nearly a quarter of a century. The band is well known for its high energy and cathartic shows, as well as for a prolific string of albums that combine astute politics, southern storytelling, and an eclectic approach to rock and roll that has been played at thousands of shows on three continents. To commemorate the reissue, DBT will embark on Southern Rock Opera Revisited 2024 Tour, playing almost all of the album in its entirety, alongside a few songs that feel like part of the work's continued relevance to the band.

Umphrey's McGee - Cruising Altitude 2025 Tour

Friday, January 31

Saturday, February 1

[Doors: 6:30pm / Show: 8:00pm]

Chicago’s eclectic rock band Umphrey’s McGee has been keeping fans on their toes for nearly 27 years now. Though often pigeonholed into “jam band” circles, Umphrey’s doesn’t fit that traditional mold; and their fans don’t either. Is it prog rock? Song-forward, Beatles-esque arrangements? Be careful, they might hit you with some metal riffs mid-set, too.

Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue - Shorty Gras Tour

with Tank and the Bangas

Friday, March 7

Saturday, March 8

[Doors: 6:30pm / Show: 8:00pm]

Take a listen to Lifted, Trombone Shorty’s second release for Blue Note Records. The album finds the GRAMMY-nominated NOLA icon and his bandmates tapping into the raw power and exhilarating grooves of their legendary live show, channeling it all into a series of tight, explosive performances that blur the lines between funk, soul, R&B, and psychedelic rock. The writing is bold and self-assured, standing up to hard times and loss with grit and determination, and the playing is muscular to match, mixing pop gleam with hip-hop swagger and second line abandon.

If anybody knows their way around a festival, it’s Trombone Shorty. Born Troy Andrews, he got his start (and nickname) earlier than most: at four, he made his first appearance at Jazz Fest performing with Bo Diddley; at six, he was leading his own brass band; and by his teenage years, he was hired by Lenny Kravitz to join the band he assembled for his Electric Church World Tour. Shorty’s proven he’s more than just a horn player, though. Catch a gig, open the pages of the New York Times or Vanity Fair, flip on any late-night TV show and you’ll see an undeniable star with utterly magnetic charisma, a natural born showman who can command an audience with the best of them.

About The Capitol Theatre:

Designed by celebrated architect Thomas Lamb in 1926 and listed in The National Register of Historic Places, The Capitol Theatre is located 30 miles from NYC. The 2,000-capacity theater, known as “the original rock palace,” showcased legends such as Traffic, The Grateful Dead, Black Sabbath, Chuck Berry, David Bowie, Janis Joplin, Pink Floyd, and The Rolling Stones. Jerry Garcia called it one of his two favorite venues in the USA. In 2012, the theatre underwent a major renovation under the guidance of music entrepreneur Peter Shapiro. Since then, it has hosted major performers including Bob Dylan, Phil Lesh, Ringo Starr, Joan Baez, Skrillex, Bonnie Raitt, Snoop Dogg, Kacey Musgraves, The Strokes, Tom Petty, Cyndi Lauper, and Willie Nelson, as well as comedians like Kevin Hart and Amy Schumer. The New York Times raves: “A rock theater that looks and sounds as good as the Capitol is something to celebrate." The Capitol’s inner-sanctum bar and music club, Garcia’s, was named for Jerry Garcia in partnership with his family. A venue of its own, Garcia’s showcases local artists and nationally touring acts across the musical spectrum.
