The Glitch Mob’s Justin Boreta Releases Ambient Version Of Drink The Sea Via Superposition Duo

Follows Superposition’s 2021 Grammy Nom In The Best New Age Album Category

The Glitch Mob’s Justin Boreta releases an ambient version of the trio’s seminal album Drink The Sea today through his Superposition duo with Matthew Davis. The reimagined ambient mix follows a 2021 GRAMMY Nomination for Superposition in the Best New Age Album category for their 2020 EP Form//Less, and also follows Superposition’s more recent release “Awareness,” a 17-minute remastered guided meditation of the late Ram Dass.

Speaking about the release, Boreta says, “The intention was to transform the original album and uncover a new dimension hiding just beneath the surface.”

The Glitch Mob recently released a fully remastered and expanded edition of Drink The Sea celebrating the album’s 10th-anniversary. Since its release, Drink The Sea has gathered more than 640 million streams, led to the band’s Coachella debut, two subsequent No. 1 albums and opened them up to a new legion of fans around the world.

“We’re so lucky,” Boreta says. “With Drink the Sea, we found our audience doesn’t follow trends. Instead, they grow with us. They trust us and fearlessly follow wherever we go creatively. That’s the bond we have: they push us to bring something new and fresh every time out – to never repeat ourselves. As artists, we couldn’t want anything more.”

Superposition will celebrate with a virtual listening party this Sunday at 9 PM ET/6 PM PT. For details, follow The Glitch Mob on YoutubeFacebook, and Twitch.
