Today, Blue Note New York announces its inaugural NFT drop, becoming one of the first entertainment venues in New York City to adopt blockchain technology. Since opening its doors in 1981, Blue Note has stood firmly at the center of NYC’s live music scene. After 40 years of success, the venue continues to carry the torch for jazz into the 21st century, boldly looking to the future. To celebrate the milestone year, Blue Note is releasing a 40 Year Anniversary NFT in partnership with YellowHeart, the NFT marketplace for music, ticketing and community tokens which accepts both crypto and credit card payments.

Each NFT unlocks one VIP reserved seat ticket to select Blue Note shows taking place between December 27, 2021 and January 23, 2022. The available shows include Chris Botti’s 17th Annual Blue Note Holiday ResidencyDJ Logic & Friends featuring Karl Denson, MonoNeon & Adam Deitch, Zach Brock, Eric Harland, Mark Lettieri, Justin Stanton and Jonathan Maron, and Veronica Swift. Fans will have access to see these artists up close and personal from some of the best seats in the house. Priced between $75-250 each, a limited supply of four NFT tickets per show will be available exclusively for purchase via YellowHeart marketplace (https://yh.io) this Friday.

“I am very excited to begin our journey into the world of blockchain and explore opportunities like NFTs,” states Steven Bensusan, Blue Note Entertainment Group President & Owner. “I’m looking forward to building a strong community of music fans around unique offerings including collectibles and exclusive experiences.”

The Blue Note 40 Year Anniversary NFT arrives on the heels of YellowHeart’s recent partnerships with Dreamverse in New York and SCOPE Art Show in Miami. Since launching in 2017, YellowHeart has become an industry leader in NFT and music technology, powering unique fan experiences and providing next-level blockchain ticketing solutions for concerts and live events.

“We are so excited to be teaming up with the iconic Blue Note in NYC as their exclusive NFT ticketing partner to commemorate their 40th anniversary,” says YellowHeart CEO and Founder Josh Katz. “As a native New Yorker and lifelong music fan, I have spent many nights listening to the incredible music artists who have graced their stage. To now be able to collaborate with one of NYC's most historic live music venues to provide fans with an exciting new way to enjoy the Blue Note experience is a thrill!”

Blue Note plans to evolve its NFT operations in 2022, and NFT holders will be the first to know about exclusive drops and special announcements. Head to the YellowHeart marketplace to become an early supporter and unlock a historic Blue Note moment this holiday season.

About YellowHeart:

Founded in 2017 by NYC-based music blockchain innovator and leader, Josh Katz, YellowHeart is the leading NFT marketplace for music NFTs, NFT tickets, community tokens and more; the company has worked with top 100 artists such as the Kings of Leon, Maroon 5, the late XXXTentacion, ZHU, Burnley F.C., and more. Sitting at the intersection of what has happened to cryptocurrency and what is happening to art and ticketing, YellowHeart is taking the blockchain's power to bulldoze the norms of selling tickets and art by creating an asset class that recognizes that buyers need a mechanism to irrevocably trace the provenance of a tradeable item, and creators should get paid a portion of all future profits derived from trading the work they created.
