Biography View

A graduate of the Stella Adler Studio of Acting at NYU, Rabbani has performed on stages around the world, including Jazz at Lincoln Center, Town Hall NYC and the State Jewish Theaters in Bucharest, Romania, Warsaw and Łódź, Poland. She was recently featured in the Drama Desk Award-winning musical Amid Falling Walls, and her work in Yiddish theater has positioned her as a leading voice in the continuation of this vital cultural tradition.
Rabbani’s directorial debut, OMA, is an award-winning short film available on Amazon Prime Video, marking her as a filmmaker with a sharp eye for intimate, character-driven storytelling. She is also the creator and host of Mom Curious, a podcast produced by Hoff Studios, where she engages a growing audience in candid conversations about motherhood, womanhood, and everything in between.
Rabbani’s work has been praised by The New York Times as “sassy” and “will leave you twirling in the streets,” and by The New York Observer as “sympathetic and utterly alive.” She brings that same emotional precision and full-bodied storytelling to her music, treating Yiddish song not as nostalgia, but as a living, evolving art form.
She is currently developing Klezmerette, a film and album project exploring the enduring influence of Yiddish language, music, and performance on American culture—from the stages of the Lower East Side to Broadway and Hollywood.
