Biography View

Born from the DIY LA music scene and a chance meeting on Craigslist, experimental shoegaze group Draag fuses the disparate musical worlds of underground punk, experimental jazz, no wave and classical. What began as a solo project turned into much more when LA musician Adrian Acosta, trained as a mariachi singer by his established norteño musician father, recruited other members Jessica Huang, Nick Kelley, Ray Montes, Eric Fabbro. From revived songs Acosta recorded on his karaoke tape deck when he was 10 years old, the band went to earn a reputation for their sonically immersive live shows in LA, playing with Reggie Watts, Young Jesus, Goon, Girl Friday and more. Their debut LP Dark Fire Heresy arrives April 28, following two critically acclaimed EPs Clara Luz and Nontoxic Process.
