Tash Sultana – Shrine Expo Hall (LA, CA)


Last year, Tash sold out every date on her first US tour before setting foot in the country. Now the Australian one-person tour-de-force is back for another headlining tour for debut album Flow State (Mom + Pop Music). Tash performs solo and loops every instrument for a compelling performance that has featured on NPR Tiny Desk and Late Night with Seth Meyers.

Ryan Montbleau – Hotel Café (LA, CA)


The singer, songwriter and bandleader presents the final show of his cross-country solo acoustic tour in support of new live album Woodstock Sessions. Touring relentlessly for over 15 years, both with a full band and solo, Montbleau has played with Mavis Staples, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Ani DiFranco, The Wood Brothers and more. His intimate songwriting prowess and dynamic voice channel fellow troubadours Ray LaMontagne, Josh Ritter and Shakey Graves while also playing with the pop sensibilities and storytelling of early John Mayer, Amos Lee and the Avett Brothers.

Following a sold-out Australian fall tour and shows in London, Paris, Amsterdam and New York, one of Australia’s most promising artists performs with her band on the North American leg of her “I’m Good World Tour.” Fans of Wafia and her electro-pop smash hit “I’m Good” include i-D, Broadly, Nylon, Hypebae, Refinery 29, Wonderland and British Vogue, which named her a “One to Watch” for 2019.

Shad – Moroccan Lounge (LA, CA)


The Polaris-nominated and JUNO-winning MC follows the release of his incisive and uplifting new album, A Short Story About A War (Secret City Records), with a North American tour. Shad’s new music is a swath of hip-hop beats, trap, funk and jazz and features collaborations from genre-less luminaries (Kaytranada, 2oolman, Lido Pimienta), crafty indie rockers (Yukon Blonde) and Toronto rap vets (Ian Kamau, Eternia, DJ T Lo).

Vera Sola – Moroccan Lounge (LA, CA)


The “masterful story-teller that exudes an effortless mystique” (The Line of Best Fit) plays her gothic folk from debut LP Shades (Spectraphonic Records). On stage, Vera Sola, who has previously toured with the Milk Carton Kids, fronts a string quintet that brings to life her haunting Bobbie Gentry-meets-The Cramps performance.

PJ Morton

PJ Morton – El Rey Theatre (LA, CA)


Following his fall “More Gumbo Tour” and a new Christmas album, “R&B’s secret weapon” (Flaunt) closes out 2018 with his festive full-band “A Gumbo Christmas Tour.” This year, the GRAMMY-nominated Morton sold out dozens of solo tour dates across the US, packed clubs through Asia, Europe and Australia and filled arenas with Maroon 5.

Herb Alpert – Disney Hall (LA, CA)


The prolific musician’s final performance of 2018 is a special holiday show where he and his band present songs from last year’s The Christmas Wish. His latest release, Music Volume 3: Herb Alpert Reimagines The Tijuana Brass, is out now via Herb Alpert Presents.

Puddles Pity Party – The Fonda Theatre (LA, CA)


The seven-foot “sad clown with the golden voice” – whose performances have taken him around the world and garnered over 120 million views on YouTube – embarks on his biggest tour. The America’s Got Talent finalist, who counts Neil Patrick Harris and Jack Black as fans, will bring to life his dramatic and lush covers of melancholic pop anthems.

ODESZA

ODESZA - The Novo (LA, CA)


The GRAMMY-nominated duo “redefining electronic music” (NPR) closes out 2018 with a series of intimate California performances – including this stop in LA. These shows follow a worldwide summer festival tour including high-billed performances at Lollapalooza, Panorama and Outside Lands that reaffirmed Billboard's claim that ODESZA "rightly be regarded as legendary."
