The Barr Brothers - Highline Ballroom (NYC)


Montreal quartet The Barr Brothers explore the furthest reaches of folk and beyond with a host of strange instruments.  They released ’Sleeping Operator’ to raves in October 2014, NPR Music deemed the record “elemental, raw and mesmerizing,” and the band will tour worldwide throughout 2015.

Nora Jane Struthers - Rockwood Music Hall (NYC)


Billboard applauds Nora Jane Struthers' "musical odyssey" from Brooklyn English teacher to Nashville bandleader, from whimsical folk narratives to deeply personal, hard-charging songs on new album 'Wake' (out 2/24, Blue Pig Music). On the album, rich with robust electric riffs, pedal steel and violin, NPR Music's Ann Powers calls Struthers "guided by fire," Rolling Stone Country hails her "lyrical vulnerability matched by her growing confidence," and Amy Poehler's Smart Girls at the Party raves she is "entirely and unequivocally herself.”

24-year-old expat jazz singer flips the script on the Zombies, Cole Porter, Maroon 5 and more, changing gender roles and playing with tempos as inspired by her fervent love for Blossom Dearie, '20s jazz and la belle époque.
