Allan Rayman - The Observatory (Santa Ana, CA)


Zane Lowe, VICE Noisey and Pigeons & Planes are vocal fans of this enigma’s slinky, soul-soaked R&B and dark, seductive storytelling. His new album, Roadhouse 01 (Communion Records), chronicles his retreat to an isolated cabin in the woods of Lost Springs, where he wrestles with his demons in the form of a rebellious alter ego, Mr. Roadhouse.

Dams of the West - Troubadour (LA, CA)


Vampire Weekend drummer Chris Tomson takes his solo project on the road for the first time, playing songs from a debut album, Youngish American (Columbia/30th Century Records), produced by the Black Keys' Pat Carney. Stereogum calls Tomson, who wrote and recorded all the instruments, “a clever and insightful songwriter overflowing with ideas,” ideas that tackle early-30s ennui, domesticity and pretending to be Elvis.

Frankie Ballard - Whisky A Go Go (LA, CA)


The country blues-rocker continues to tour behind his critically acclaimed latest release El Rio (Warner Bros. Records). Entertainment Weekly raves, “grade-A American rock & roll.” His previous album, Sunshine & Whiskey, produced three consecutive No. 1 singles.

DJ Shadow

DJ Shadow - The Fonda Theatre (LA, CA)


The groundbreaking producer and DJ extends his “The Mountain Will Fall” tour, which celebrates his 2016 Mass Appeal Records release of the same name and became Shadow’s first No. 1 on Billboard’s Dance/Electronic chart in the US. This show is between his two Coachella performances and right after the premiere of his new monthly KCRW radio show, “Find, Share, Rewind.”

Mura Masa

Mura Masa - El Rey Theatre (LA, CA)


The 21-year-old multi-instrumentalist and producer makes a rare US appearance to preview a full-length debut album due this summer. According to Pitchfork, first single “1 Night" (ft. Charli XCX) “justifies his swift ascent with a well-executed tropical bop.”

Floating Points - El Rey Theatre (LA, CA)


One of London's most sought-after DJs also leads this ensemble fusing the fringes of electronic and house music with spiritual jazz and post-rock that has earned a Pitchfork Best New Music and Resident Advisor's Album of the Year. Their tour includes a light reactive laser show, and new music will be performed on this US run around Coachella weekends.

Ellis Ludwig-Leone is a master storyteller, a poet-observer who has made fans of the New York Times, Rolling Stone, NPR and more. Now the Brooklyn bandleader and his collective tour to perform new songs from Belong (Downtown/Interscope), which confronts themes of disconnect, displacement and everyday anxiety with assured and gorgeous results.

Randy Rogers Band - Stagecoach (LA, CA)


The band behind "one of the year's most essential country songs" (Billboard on last year's "Tequila Eyes") makes its Stagecoach debut on the heels of three No. 1 singles from the Billboard Top Five album Nothing Shines Like Neon.
