Louis Armstrong’s Wonderful World - Flushing Meadows Corona Park (Queens, NY)


Jon Batiste curates and headlines the eclectic musical line-up for the fourth annual one-day celebration of the life and music of Louis Armstrong, held in the park near where Armstrong lived for more than 20 years. Vince Giordano and The Nighthawks, members of The Dap-Kings and others also perform. This free, all-ages festival includes family-friendly Backyard Bash activities, some of New York’s most popular food trucks and access to the Louis Armstrong House Museum.

Wilsen - Baby’s All Right (Brooklyn, NY)


The Brooklyn trio plays a hometown show with a fleshed out live set, adding a drummer and heart-racing urgency to its hushed and acoustic-driven compositions. The trio’s full-length debut I Go Missing In My Sleep (Secret City Records) was called “a major revelation” by NPR and “the finest folk debut of 2017” by Uproxx.

OZY Fest - Rumsey Playfield Central Park (NYC)


Described by The New York Times as “part music festival, part TED talk, part food fair,” this one-day event features music from Jason Derulo, Talib Kweli and Zara Larsson; panels and talks with comedians Samantha Bee and Issa Rae, authors Malcolm Gladwell and Ta-Nehisi Coates, award-winning journalists Katie Couric and Van Jones, Super Bowl MVP Von Miller and Emmy award-winner RuPaul; and food from celebrity chef Eddie Huang.

Olivia Chaney and The Decemberists make their NYC debut together as Offa Rex, a new project that takes traditional English-Irish-Scottish repertoire and blends it with modern psychedelia and folk rock to honor and carry on the tide between British and American music.

Mura Masa – Panorama Fest (NYC)


On his current US tour, the 21-year-old multi-instrumentalist and producer comes to Panorama to celebrate London's rich multicultural history with his self-titled debut LP. The Channel Island native’s UK electronica, which NPR calls “a feast of sounds and flavors,” is fleshed out on stage with live instrumentation and vocalist Fliss.
