Cyndi Lauper – Madison Square Garden (NYC)


The legendary GRAMMY-, Emmy-, and Tony-winning artist joins Rod Stewart for another trek across North America following the incredible success and rave reviews for their 2017 summer tour. After 30 years, Lauper continues to explore pop, electronic dance music, American standards, the Memphis blues and, with her latest studio album Detour, country classics.

Dawn Landes – Joe’s Pub (NYC)


Just days before the release of her new album, Meet Me At The River (8/10 via Yep Roc), Landes brings her new songs to life for this intimate LP preview show. Landes has collaborated with Sufjan Stevens, Norah Jones, Andrea Bird and more, and her latest release channels a classic Nashville sound with help from legendary producer Fred Foster (Roy Orbison, Dolly Parton, Kris Kristofferson).

Maxwell – Forest Hills Stadium (Queens, NY)


The soul star’s inaugural “Black Summer Night For Social Justice” aims to spur action on a range of local and national civil rights issues. The night will feature performances by Maxwell, Fantasia, DVSN, Jazmine Sullivan and more. A portion of the proceeds will go to Me Too, Southern Poverty Law Center and additional to-be-announced organizations.

Vitamin String Quartet – City Winery (NYC)


The critically acclaimed string collective – two violins, viola and cello – puts on a headlining show days after the release of Vitamin String Quartet Performs The Hits Of 2018 (8/10 via CMH Label Group). From appearances on HBO’s Westworld to TV hits like Modern Family and Shameless, VSQ’s “atmospheric” (Thrillist) hits have made “classical versions of pop music cool, [by] infusing the drama of mainstream composition into the classical community” (New York Observer). This show follows back-to-back sold-out nights at LA’s Hotel Cafe and NYC’s Rockwood Music Hall earlier this year.

Jon Cleary – Bar Lunatico (Brooklyn, NY)


The New Orleans pianist brings bassist Cornell Williams and drummer A.J. Hall to play music off Dyna-Mite (Thirty Tigers), the funky and heartfelt follow-up to Cleary’s GRAMMY-winning last LP. The virtuoso talent has performed around the world with Dr. John, B.B. King, John Scofield and Taj Mahal, as well as playing in Bonnie Raitt’s band for a decade.

Wayne Kramer - Strand Book Store (NYC)


The leader of Detroit’s proto-punk/hard rock band MC5 celebrates his new memoir, The Hard Stuff: Dope, Crime, the MC5, and My Life of Impossibilities (Da Capo Press), on release day with a conversation with the New Yorker’s Adam Davidson followed by book signings. A story of second chances, the book charts Kramer's evolution from rock star to inmate to feature film composer to prison-reform advocate.

Mura Masa – SummerStage (NYC)


With a landmark 2017 under his belt that included a critically acclaimed debut LP, two GRAMMY nominations, a Coachella debut and sold-out dates worldwide, the London producer returns to the US to play some of his biggest shows yet. With a live set called "euphoric genre-hopping" by the Los Angeles Times, Alex Crossan's live performance brings the best of his "masterful mix of styles and sounds" (NPR Music) to life.

Alejandro Escovedo

Alejandro Escovedo – City Winery (NYC)


The Mexican-American punk veteran brings his international tour to the US to preview his upcoming LP The Crossing (9/14 via Yep Roc), a concept album about the American immigrant experience mirroring Escovedo’s own journey. Escovedo performs with Don Antonio, the all-instrumental Italian group that also played on the record alongside MC5’s Wayne Kramer, The Stooges’ James Williamson, Joe Ely, The Only Ones and more.

Chris Stills – The Loft at City Winery (NYC)


Stills plays this intimate, one-off show in his hometown Manhattan. Stills’ most recent album, the heartfelt Don’t Be Afraid, includes co-writes with Ryan Adams, Natasha Bedingfield and David Saw. Stills has toured the world, performing and recording with artists including Don Was, Ryan Adams, Government Mule, Smashing Pumpkins and Richard Ashcroft.
