Ace of Cups – Rockwood Stage 3 (NYC)


The Jimi Hendrix-approved all-female San Francisco psychedelic rock band that made its mark on the ‘60s Haight-Ashbury scene returns to the stage. Original members Mary Gannon (bass), Marla Hunt (organ, piano), Denise Kaufman (guitar, harmonica), Mary Ellen Simpson (lead guitar), and Diane Vitalich (drums) revive the magic of that era with songs from their original ‘60s run, as well as new material, from their recently released first album.

Citizen Cope – Beacon Theatre (NYC)


This rare full-band US tour follows the release of the political yet optimistic Heroin And Helicopters (3/1 via Rainwater Recordings/Thirty Tigers), Cope's first new album in seven years. Cope has toured the world extensively over the course of his 25-year career, including stops at Coachella, Bonnaroo, Sasquatch and Austin City Limits. His transformative performance style compelled the Washington Post to dub him “DC’s finest export since Marvin Gaye.”

Jacob Collier

Jacob Collier – Irving Plaza (NYC)


The multi-instrumentalist, singer, composer, arranger, producer and two-time GRAMMY winner embarks on a massive, international, full-band headlining tour behind the release of the first of his 40-song, four-volume exploration of the mind, Djesse (Hajanga Records/Decca/Geffen). Collier won two GRAMMYs and a Jazz FM Award for his 2016 debut, In My Room, and his quick rise led to collaborations with Herbie Hancock and Hans Zimmer; a performance with Pharrell; and a Ted Talk.

The Australian-born “formidable singer-songwriter” (Rolling Stone) holds an intimate winter engagement with her band to preview her upcoming spring album via BMG. Wilkenfeld has recorded and toured with Prince, Mick Jagger, Jeff Beck, Herbie Hancock and more, yet her new music focuses more on her turn as a songwriter and producer.

Guster – Beacon Theatre (NYC)


The storied band headlines a North American tour behind the moody and layered new album, Look Alive (Nettwerk/Ocho Mule). Along with their classic cuts, the group will also bring to life the “cold sounds” of their new record, a sound beautifully captured in the stark and haunting title track NPR Music calls “one of Guster’s most musically sparkling pop songs.”

Charlie Cunningham – Murmrr Theatre (Brooklyn, NY)


The MOJO and NME-approved UK artist, already with millions of streams, brings his intimate, goosebump-inducing theatre performance to the US. This new tour follows Cunningham’s sold-out hometown show at London’s Omeara and new singles “Sink In” and “Permanent Way,” which preview what’s to come later this year.

Sophie Auster – Top of The Standard - Chelsea (NYC)


Brooklyn’s “sultry chanteuse” (New York Times Magazine) follows SXSW and an east coast tour with this special Annie O-curated showcase. The folk-pop “rising star” (The Cut) with a haunting voice will play songs from the forthcoming Next Time (4/12 via Fieldhouse/BMG), her first record in four years.

Smithsonian Folkways Recordings

Lula Wiles – Rockwood Stage 2 (NYC)


Isa Burka, Ellie Buckland and Mali Obomsawin preview their Smithsonian Folkways Recordings debut LP, What Will We Do. The trio, with their modern embracement of traditional American folk music, has toured internationally, winning fans at Newport Folk Festival and Philadelphia Folk Festival and sharing stages with Aoife O'Donovan, the Wood Brothers and Tim O'Brien.
