Brittany Davis

Brittany Davis/ ‘I Choose To Live’ EP/ Loosegroove Records

Purging this pandemic-era pain as they rhyme deftly over soul/R&B grooves, the Seattle-based Brittany Davis brings a truly fresh perspective to issues most prevalent among the marginalized; drawing from their experiences as a musician and a non-binary, African-American, blind person who has dealt firsthand with homelessness, bullying and systemic racism. "I Choose To Live” is the title track from Brittany Davis' debut EP - produced/engineered by Davis and Seattle legend Josh Evans (Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Brandi Carlile) - due March 18 on Loosegroove Records, the label founded by Pearl Jam’s Stone Gossard.

Barrie/ ‘Barbara’

On March 25, songwriter and producer Barrie Lindsay will release Barbara, her first record since 2019’s highly acclaimed debut, Happy To Be Here. It’s an album that heralds a radical transformation: Lyrics previously whispered between melodic synths and hazy backbeats now rise to the forefront, telling highly personal tales of love and loss atop intense blends of instrumentation. A deeply personal record written in the wake of her father’s passing and the midst of falling in love with her now wife, Gabby, Barbara brings to life Barrie’s inner world with newfound boldness.
