Chuck Prophet - Bowery Ballroom (NYC)


The San Francisco musician brings some "California noir” back to New York in advance of new album Bobby Fuller Died for Your Sins (2/10 via Yep Roc), which is named after the “I Fought the Law” singer and includes timely tributes to David Bowie and fellow Bay Area native Alex Nieto.

David Bowie Tribute - Carnegie Hall (NYC)


The 12th Annual Tribute Concert at Carnegie Hall celebrates David Bowie's music with an all-star lineup including Michael Stipe, The Flaming Lips, Laurie Anderson, Cat Power, The Roots, Perry Farrell, Bettye LaVette, Ann Wilson of Heart, Jakob Dylan, The Mountain Goats, Robyn Hitchcock, Cyndi Lauper, Bette Midler, Debbie Harry and Pixies. House band Holy Holy features two original members of The Spiders from Mars - drummer Woody Woodmansey and long-time Bowie collaborator Tony Visconti on bass. All concert proceeds benefit important music education programs.
