The Ghost of Paul Revere - Rough Trade (Brooklyn, NY)


The Maine “holler-folk” quartet, which has played with the likes of The Avett Brothers, The Revivalists and members of Old Crow Medicine Show, performs music from Monarch (10/27 via Kobalt Music Recordings). The new album was inspired by New England winters, entomology, Radiohead and Led Zeppelin.

Delbert McClinton – Lucille’s Bar & Grill at B.B. King’s Blues Club (NYC)


McClinton and author Diana Finlay Hendricks host an intimate Q&A to celebrate the release of Hendricks’ new book on the American zelig and elder statesman of the blues, Americana and Texas music. The event is produced by live interview series BackStory and will be livestreamed by BackStory and Guitar World Magazine. The biography, Delbert McClinton: One of the Fortunate Few (Texas A&M University Press), is out 12/6.

The TEN Tenors - Kupferberg Center for the Arts (Queens, NY)


The globe-trotting vocal Australian ensemble makes a stop on its “Home for the Holidays” tour at Colden Auditorium, performing its signature combination of classic compositions and contemporary hits. The event is a part of the center’s 10-year celebration of promoting the rich music, art and culture of NYC’s most diverse borough.

Randy Rogers & Wade Bowen – Town Hall (NYC)


Randy Rogers Band’s frontman joins Wade Bowen and Kip Moore for the final night of their limited acoustic run dubbed “Tall Tales and the Truth Tour.” Rogers plays stripped down arrangements of his hits and previews new music from his band’s upcoming album produced by GRAMMY winner Dave Cobb.

Leif Vollebekk – Rough Trade (Brooklyn, NY)


Following a series of European shows, the Montreal musician brings the final North American leg of his 2017 tour to the East coast. Vollebekk’s album Twin Solitude (Secret City Records), which NPR calls “devastatingly beautiful,” was short-listed for this year’s Polaris Music Prize.

United Palace – It’s A Wonderful Life (NYC)


For its “Movies at the Palace” series, United Palace ends 2017 with a Holiday Open House and a screening of the classic 1946 film attended by Mary Owen, Donna Reed’s daughter. Originally opened in 1930 as one of the metro area's five Wonder Theaters, the theater continues its storied history by hosting special events including concerts, film screenings and community events.
