Marcus King Band – Troubadour (LA, CA)


Following a stint on the road with Tedeschi Trucks Band and Drive-By Truckers, “one of music’s next great guitarists” (Washington Post) and his five-piece band play two nights in LA after selling out their first show. With over 60 worldwide dates already slated for the remainder of 2018, the 22-year-old North Carolinian is on a mission to create a fresh musical experience that ties rock, blues and soul into a distinctly Southern lineage. The “Carolina Confessions Tour” escalates their combustible live show to a new class of ballrooms and theaters across North America.

Arlie – Bardot (LA, CA)


The Nashville four-piece plays “School Night” as part of a fall tour supporting its upcoming debut EP Wait (9/19 via Atlantic). The band has played festivals including Bonnaroo and Forecastle and shared bills with Rostam and Cold War Kids, and their classicist DIY pop already has millions of streams.

Rayland Baxter – Moroccan Lounge (LA, CA)


The rock ’n’ roll philosopher continues his headlining “Wide Awake Tour” after a series of shows with Shakey Graves and the release of his howlin’ and political new album, Wide Awake (ATO). Baxter has toured with Kacey Musgraves, Jason Isbell, The Lumineers and more and is a veteran performer of Bonnaroo and Newport Folk Festival.

Jon Cleary – Saint Rocke (Hermosa Beach, CA)


The New Orleans pianist brings bassist Cornell Williams and drummer A.J. Hall to play music off Dyna-Mite (Thirty Tigers), the funky and heartfelt follow-up to Cleary’s GRAMMY-winning last LP. The virtuoso talent has performed around the world with Dr. John, B.B. King, John Scofield and Taj Mahal, as well as playing in Bonnie Raitt’s band for a decade.

Amy Stroup – Hotel Café (LA, CA)


The Nashville singer and “master songwriter” (Parade) – as well as one of the most-synced women in commercial music – plays one of her first full-band shows to perform tracks off her feminine-empowering new album, Helen of Memphis (Milkglass Creative). Billboard has praised Stroup for her “silky, captivating vocals,” and her most pop-leaning record yet was partially produced by SUPERCOOKIES (Kendrick Lamar, Dram). Special guests joining Stroup will be announced soon.

Fionn – Bardot (LA, CA)


The 20-year-old identical twin sister duo of Brianne and Alanna Finn-Morris makes its LA debut for “School Night,” a weekly music showcase for rising talents. Fionn’s upcoming self-titled debut (10/26 via 604 Records) is an accumulation of the Canadian duo’s biggest influences: Celtic folk and harmonies, Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours, James Blake, Amy Winehouse and Radiohead.

Boz Scaggs – Orpheum Theatre (LA, CA)


The Versatile singer, songwriter and guitarist extends his “Out of the Blues Tour” with his band. Scaggs’ Out Of the Blues (7/27 via Concord) continues a musical renaissance returning him to his earliest blues roots. Scaggs applies his iconic voice and gritty guitar playing to blues classics by Bobby “Blue” Bland, Jimmy Reed and Magic Sam; to a stirring reading of Neil Young’s “On the Beach”; and to new originals written with longtime collaborator Jack Walroth.

Natalie Prass – Troubadour (LA, CA)


Following a tour with Fleet Foxes and performances on CONAN and NPR Music, Prass brings her celebratory and defiant new album, The Future and the Past (ATO), to the stage on her headlining “The Future and The Past Tour.” Prass’ new album already has received praise from Pitchfork, Vulture, The Fader and more, and Rolling Stone has deemed her one of the best acts at this year’s SXSW, saying her show was “the sound of a musician hitting her stride.”
