Karen Dalton: In My Own Time/ Greenwich Entertainment

Greenwich Entertainment announces the release of Karen Dalton: In My Own Time, a brand new documentary that not only honors the long-overlooked legacy and musical impact of the late folk legend, but saves her largely misunderstood story from near devastation. Directed by Robert Yapkowitz and Richard Peete, and executive produced by the multi Academy Award-nominated Wim Wenders, Light in the Attic Records and Delmore Recording Society, the film will open in theaters across the country beginning October 1, 2021, with a premiere at New York City's Film Forum. Following a tragic fire in 2018, which destroyed all the remains of Karen Dalton's personal archive, Yapkowitz and Peete worked closely with her family and estate to capture the vanishing fragments of her life. From troves of newly unearthed material and raw footage, to candid conversations with Dalton's daughter Abralyn Baird and commentary by loved ones, ex-lovers, collaborators and close friends, Karen Dalton: In My Own Time serves as an essential portrait of her singular voice and indelible influence.

Stephan Moccio/ ‘Lionheart’/ Decca Records

After penning chart-topping hits for superstar artists like Miley Cyrus, The Weeknd, and Celine Dion, Oscar-nominated and Grammy-nominated songwriter and producer Stephan Moccio has announced a joyous return to his roots on the piano. One of the most compelling writers in music today, Moccio possesses a rare power to express incredibly complex and nuanced emotions through melody alone, establishing himself as a handcrafting melodist with a “rare gift of delivering emotionally charged tales of love, loss and hope without words” (Billboard). In a musical career that’s included seven hits on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart, three Grammy nominations and an Oscar nod for co-writing The Weeknd’s seven-times-platinum “Earned It,” the classically trained virtuoso has announced his most extraordinary work to date. Due out October 15th on Decca Records, Lionheart affirms Moccio as a truly singular force who’s redefining the possibilities of piano music, adding an entirely new urgency to the time-honored genre.

Dillon Carmichael/ ‘Son of A’

Country music’s “most convincing young star since Stapleton” (Rolling Stone) Dillon Carmichael will release his sophomore album ‘Son of A’ on October 22. It’s the follow-up to his breakout debut, ‘Hell On An Angel’ (2018), and it features 14 tracks, half of which were co-written by the Kentucky native, with seven produced by Jon Pardi and Ryan Gore.

‘Son of A’ continues Carmichael’s lauded neo-traditional approach to country music, “matching the textures of yesteryear to the melodies of today” (The New York Times) in a seamless and unique fashion. “Hot Beer,” Carmichael’s "12-ounce can of sarcastic, commercial potential” (Billboard), and the hilarious “Big Truck,” co-written alongside David Lee Murphy and Jessi Alexander, showcase a more playful side to the Kentucky native, while “Paychecks and Longnecks,” one of four Dann Huff-produced tracks, perfectly pairs his burly, charismatic twang with a blue-collar-inspired hook.

Keyboard Fantasies/ Greenwich Entertainment

As a sci-fi obsessed woman living in near isolation, Beverly Glenn-Copeland wrote and self-released Keyboard Fantasies in Huntsville, Ontario back in 1986. Recorded in an Atari-powered home studio, the cassette featured seven tracks of a curious folk-electronica hybrid, a sound realised far before its time. Three decades on, the musician – now Glenn Copeland – began to receive emails from people across the world, thanking him for the music they’d recently discovered. Courtesy of a rare-record collector in Japan, a reissue of Keyboard Fantasies and subsequent plays by Four Tet, Caribou and more, the music had finally found its audience two generations down the line. Keyboard Fantasies sees the protagonist commit his life and music to screen for the first time - an intimate coming of age story spinning pain and the suffering of prejudice into rhythm, hope and joy. Half aural-visual history, half DIY tour-video, the film provides a vehicle for our newly appointed queer elder to connect with youth across the globe. A timely lullaby to soothe those souls struggling to make sense of the world.
