In the spring of 1941, Woody Guthrie traveled to Portland, OR, to write songs for the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA). Seventy-six years later, this little-known yet prolific period is commemorated on this two-disc cover album including all of Guthrie’s BPA songs, nine of which have never been released before. The collection features members of R.E.M., Black Prairie, The Decemberists and others.
