Angie McMahon

Angie McMahon/ ‘Salt’/ Dualtone Records

The anthemic songs that make up Salt are filled to the brink with quiet emotions and loud riffs, an assured confidence that you can hear right away in album openers “Play The Game” (“I don’t know how to play the game you say that we’re not playing”) and “Soon” (“I can’t let you sweep me off my feet just yet”).

Justin Moore

Justin Moore/ ‘Late Nights and Longnecks’/ The Valory Music Co.

The multiplatinum country artist goes back to basics for his most traditional-sounding set. Equal parts celebration and reflection, Moore’s fifth studio album showcases his evocative storytelling and unforgettable voice. Moore co-wrote every song on this no-frills portrait of small-town life and big-time dreams, which features the hit single “The Ones That Didn’t Make It Back Home.”
